New York Fashion Week (NYFW) is sadly behind us, but aside from the the best fashion, it’s dished out the best news: The CFDA(Council of Fashion Designers of America) is launching NYFW: Men’s as a stand alone showcase for American men’s fashion. We’re happy to finally see a reflection of the strength of menswear that we are dedicating at Street Attics a post to gather some the trendiest menswear that NYFW 2015 brought us.
We can’t start off without giving props to Jeremy Scott, who even Yeezy—one day after having presented his recent collab with Adidas—said, “He’s super inventive and proposes something that others will be inspired by” and this is definitely true. The American designer makes pop-fashion and we tried to pick a single thing from his collection, but everything is pure eye-candy! Don’t believe us? Give it a try.
Getting into more serious stuff, Baja East made a homage to their diverse customer base. Inspired by graffiti art embraced on a recent trip to Indonesia, the fashion group translated their travel sights and sounds onto a beautiful surf-meets-street sweater.
Our French friends from Lacoste were pulling off something similar: combining elegance with trendy urbanwear, which was heavily visible in their jackets and white sneakers combinations. Our favorite pick from the line was the Tennis Anyone? sweatshirt paired with the classic white sneaks. Perfection.
The clear darlings of NYFW, however were Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne of Public School. Their over-sized scarves and functional knitwear—along with Anna Wintour sitting on the first row— had us gagging; each piece was rich in fabrics and textures and we particularly loved the concept of turning the boring into cool.
Revamped style is right up our alley.
